Due to unpredictable weather in the Salem, OR area, our roofing company does not schedule jobs for more than two weeks in advance. Once your project has been given a tentative start date, our admin team will notify you via phone and/or email to go over the logistics of the job start. If your scheduled start date arrives and the weather prevents us from starting work, we will plan to start on the next available day the weather permits for tear-off.

Job Start Preparation

While RoofRite in Salem can offer you affordable new roofs and repairs, a home improvement project can still be a stressful time. In an effort to ease any stress, here are a few things to keep in mind when preparing for your project:

  • Parking – We will likely be placing a dumpster or dump trailer in your driveway for the duration of the project. If you use your garage for parking, please move your car the night before the job starts to avoid being blocked in.
  • Yard and home decor – While we do our best to protect the perimeter of the home with plywood if you have any large yard ornaments such as birdbaths or planters or any hanging items, we recommend moving them away from the house or into the garage to avoid damage from falling debris. ROOFRITE SERVICES INC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO ANY ITEMS LEFT HANGING UNDER THE EAVES WHEN THE JOB BEGINS.
  • Skylights – Whether we are replacing your skylight or not, it is likely that we will need to remove it at some point during the project. We recommend you move any furniture from below your skylight and place a drop-cloth to protect from any falling debris.
  • Wall hangings – Vibrations from nail guns and movement on the roof can cause frames and other wall hangings to come loose. Please be mindful of any unsecured wall hangings when preparing for your project.
  • Outdoor pets – It is our standard practice to provide job site cleanup at the end of each workday, and in order for us to provide adequate clean-up and to keep your pets and our crews safe, we ask that you secure your outdoor pets while crews are on-site.

Upon Final Inspection, you and your project manager will complete a walkthrough to ensure the project was completed as specified in your contract. Final Payment will be due at this time.
